I am so sick and tired of looking for an auto insurance quote that helps me survive. I am currently paying around $ 250 a month for auto insurance which is ridiculous with a $ 400 car payment. I had some past accidents which is killing me on my insurance costs but I haven’t had any recent accidents. I have tried all the major companies….state farm, geico, nationwide,the general,safe auto,erie….you name it I have tried it and I have tried even some of the not so heard of….amica,encompass,kemper……for the love of GOD! Anyone have any suggestions that may be of some use instead of saying something like …try google or I’m screwed? These are things that I already know about. Please help! Anyone who is helpful 10 points!

Hello, I just stumbled across your post and I may be able to help. My name is Lee and I’m an insurance agent in Pennsylvania. I work for an insurance agency with over 30 companies, so I know how aggravating it can be shopping for insurance. It’s almost impossible to tell what the cheapest would be just by giving an estimate. Each company is different, and thus, each rates different drivers differently. So basically, it’s hard to say WHO would be cheapest..but I could help you better if I knew what KIND of coverage you’re looking for. Question by Pauley _: Does anyone know anything about “Ameriprise Auto & Home Insurance” company?
I’m considering switching companies from Mercury to Ameriprise because of lower premiums, but I’ve read some not so good things about the company (like they take a loooong time to process a claim). I looked on Consumer Reports, because I feel they have reliable reviews, but I need a subscription, which I do not have.

So any information will be helpful, including a website that perhaps does reviews of auto insurance companies.

I dunno about any website that does reviews but I have Ameriprise auto insurance and have had a couple of claims and they did a good job of handling them. Well, they did exactly what they are supposed to do anyways. I even wanted to have some bodywork done at a shop not in their network and didnt have any problems at all. I cant really say they are any better or worse than other insurance companies. The only company I’ve heard a lot of good reviews of is State Farm but theres a reason for that, you get what you pay for.

Question by spam: Has anyone tried the Ameriprise Auto insurance? How do you rate their service compared to other insurance co?
They have a tie-up with Costco and offers a very good rate compared to AAA, Farmers, etc. I signed up with esurance who has a excellent rate but after 6 months, they are raising the premium by more than 30%. A feedback or review on Ameriprise will aid me in decision making. Thanks!
